No Longer Slaves

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I Thessalonians 5:23 (NKJV)

A child of God should not be a slave to the fear of death because Christ already gave you victory over sin and death. The assurance of eternity in heaven should give you peace that surpasses all understanding; and the knowledge you have acquired about eternity gives you the ability to receive God’s love and give it freely. There’s no fear in love, perfect love casts out all forms of fear including the fear of death.

The love of Jesus is eternal and not limited to time and space, nor circumstances. This is the same kind of love God wants believers to share in the world. When a human loses capacity to give love, that person cannot be found worthy of kingdom assignment; it takes a wholesome human being, one with capacity to give and receive love to do kingdom work.
