‘So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.” – I Kings 17:12 (NKJV)
The widow who Prophet Elijah asked for food in a time of severe famine had changed the situation of her life from that singular act of obedience. She had barely enough to feed herself and her son, but in spite of that, she obeyed Elijah and gave him some food. Of course, it didn’t make any sense to give the Prophet her last meal, but the widow believed the Prophet when he asked her not to be afraid.
The fear of lack due to the scarcity in the land has held a lot of people bound. But God is assuring you today that there shall be no scarcity in His kingdom. This is a word for you to run with- “abundance is very much available to you, if you believe and lay hold of it by faith”.
Have a wonderful day!
Confession: I walk by faith and in obedience to God’s word today, therefore I declare that there shall be no scarcity in my Father’s kingdom or in my life in Jesus name.
