“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV)
Sometimes the pains of the past weigh us down. It makes us hold on to things too tightly because we have laboured so much for it. But don’t cry over spilled milk; the cow is still alive and so are the opportunities to make more milk. The best of God is never in the past, but in the future. It will require some things to come to a necessary end before you see some new beginnings.
Don’t remember the former things like that bad relationship, or destructive habit or cruel person and so on but look ahead; open your heart, your mind and your eyes to receive your new beginning. Welcome to a new season!
Confession: I have grace to see the new beginning God has for me. I see it and I partake of it in Jesus name.
