Recipe for Success in 2018

A new year has just began, many resolutions are still in the air. Many ideas are flowing in different directions. No doubt about it, we all have a traffic of ambitions and aspirations. Many people are craving to achieve their goals and target for this New Year; some people have written it down while others just have it in their mind. To be candid, this have always been the pattern year by year; day in day out while some are fortunate to achieve theirs some are not. Why, you may ask? Not because God isn’t capable of bringing all desires to pass, but because he would only achieve what aligns with his will or with his purpose for your life.

The Bible says in Proverbs 19:21 (KJV) There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Many are the devices in the heart of men; different ideas, strategies and opinions but only the counsel of God (i.e. the one He permits) shall stand. Then the wisdom in there, is to align with the counsel of God for your life this year. Therefore, it is very important that you take time to seek God’s will concerning every decision you are embarking in this year. This is because your choices determine your destination and I can assure you that success is inevitable when you work with God’s plan for your life.

In addition, some school of thought defines success as “when opportunity meets with preparation”. How much you have prepared yourself determines how successful you would become when the real opportunity beckons on you. It is of a truth that many people have applied some preparation strategies like praying and fasting; no doubt, God would grant your heart desires but how well you prepare would determine what you would make of all these opportunities. Have you prepared for success this New Year? Preparation means to strategically position yourself to achieve the plans and purpose God has put in your heart.

Another bible verse that re-iterates this is Proverbs 16:1 (KJV) – The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. What this scripture is saying is that preparation and answers go along together. Whatever makes your heart prepared or ready must attract answers and attract results to which your heart is prepared for.

How prepared are you for your expectations? Truly the expectations of the righteous shall surely come but it can be missed if adequate preparation to herald it is not there. If you haven’t set your mind or prepared, it’s never too late to start now. God is giving you an opportunity to begin now because what he is bringing your way this year would definitely turn your life around but you must be prepared to receive it.

Are you to study more for career growth? Pursue it! Do you want to start up a new project? Start making your research! Do you want to marry? Prepare yourself and position yourself for your potential spouse!  Do you want to venture into another business? Gather resources of all sorts and at the end you would rejoice.

And I believe as you do this, heaven would be opened on every areas of your life and your testimony shall surpass that of last year in Jesus name. I am waiting to write about your testimonies by this time next year but till then, keep succeeding.

Have a successful 2018.
