  • False Spirituality

“If anyone boasts, “I love God”, and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won’t love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can’t see?” – 1 John 4:20 (MSG)

A person who claims to have a budding relationship with God but has poor relationships with others is walking in false spirituality. It is very possible for a person to be spiritually mature and at the same time be emotionally immature. If you manipulate people for selfish reasons, that is an evidence of false spirituality.

The only way to deal with this is in the place of prayer. It requires vulnerability and a move of the Holy Spirit within you to change that character. False spirituality has truncated many blessings because people have tried to get things done by their own power thereby short-changing themselves. Search within, if you feel that you exhibit such characteristics, ask the Holy Spirit right now to help you grow the fruit of the Spirit so that you can walk in true spirituality.
    Have a wonderful week ahead!

Confession: I manifest God’s nature and bear the fruit of the Spirit. The love of God is shed abroad in my heart unconditionally and I accept and embrace others.

  • Win with Others

“Getting wisdom is the most important thing you can do. Whatever else you get, get insight” – Proverbs 4:7 (GNT)

God is the giver of wisdom, and He gives it generously to anyone who desires it. Wisdom is first of all pure because God is pure and anything that comes from Him, must reflect His nature. Counsel that stems from God’s wisdom makes a man’s actions pure and faultless. Other characteristics of God’s wisdom is that it is peaceable, gentle, kind, approachable, full of mercy and bears good fruits.

You can’t be operating in the wisdom of God and not see solutions to situations. To bring positive changes into your life, you will have to engage wisdom. It will give you the capacity to control youremotions and manage interpersonal relationships empathetically. It will also offer solution to challenges. To win this journey of life, win through wisdom.

    Enjoy a restful weekend.

Confession: I have the wisdom of God; I walk with it and I enjoy its benefits.

  • You are the Starting Point

Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise. Which, having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.” –Proverbs 6:6

In order to make impact in your world, you must first cultivate the habit of self-leadership. A good illustration of this is the character of the ants. They have the ability to achieve so much with what is available, without external intervention. It is the same with self-leadership because it involves problem-solving. When you solve problems for yourself, you increase the capacity to solve problems for others.

For instance, King David solved a national problem by bringing down Goliath, who was a terrorist to the nation of Israel. He was only able to do this because he had already began to solve problems by himself when he was tending to his father’s flock business. Our country needs “Davids” like you to rise up and conquer the “Goliaths” that keep harassing her. The solution starts with you, be a solution provider.

    Have a blessed day!

Confession: I am a self-leader and a solution provider. I have the ability to tackle complex problems all around in in Jesus name.

  • His Grace…

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”– Romans 8:28 (NLT)

The will of God for you is that all things will work together for your good. This means you have access to divine power to establish God’s will for your life here on earth because His grace is readily available to you when you ask.

This season, be rightly positioned and choose to live by nothing else but God’s standards. Spend more time in meditation and prayer and walk in the consciousness that you are a grace-carrying being!

    Have a great day!

Confession: I have clear directions; my spirit is built and God’s grace is sufficient for me!

  • Under His Wings…

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.”- Psalm 91:1-3

Some have come to the conclusion that bad things only happen to good people because of the experiences they might have faced in the past. But King David had a different opinion, even though he had bad and bitter experiences in life as well. He believed and declared that though the afflictions of the righteous maybe many, the Lord will still deliver the righteous from every one of them.

The same applies to you even today. Though a thousand may fall on your right side, and tens of thousands around you; God will keep you! I declare that in the rain, or under the scorching sun, He will keep you. No matter what the situation you may be facing right now is, the Lord of Host puts you under His wings. He will protect you, be your strong tower and your shield. Whenever you go out, the name and the blood of Jesus will cover you and speak for you! Be assured of safety this season because you are under the wings of the Almighty God!

Happy new month & have a wonderful break!

Confession: I dwell under the wings of my Father, His breath of life keeps and sustains me. I shall not be afraid for the Lord goes before me and keeps me in all my ways!

  • A Gift Called Prayer…

After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.” – Job 42: 10 (NIV)

One of the simplest yet most powerful gifts you can give to anyone is prayer. It’s one you can simply send anywhere at anytime, in any condition, great, unsure or terrible because it’s a very powerful and effective weapon for changing circumstances. While praying for his friends, Job was not in the best shape of his life. He had lost everything, which initially caused him to grumble. His condition was a precarious one but when he repented and acted on divine instructions to pray for his friends, God’s plan to restore his fortune manifested.

It’s the same way, Jesus presented this gift of prayer to God on behalf of us who were unworthy of God’s mercy and grace, when he asked that God forgive us for our sins. You really don’t have any excuse for not praying for people, irrespective of your circumstance. Today, consciously take time to say a word of prayer for everyone and everything around you and bear in mind that complaints lack power. There is no real love without prayer and the returns are unquantifiable.

    Have a joyful day!

Confession: I present (make a list of all their names and call them out) before You Lord, to bless, protect, forgive, defend and provide for him/her according to Your riches in glory in Jesus name.

  • At Peace with All Men…

So, Abraham brought sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelek, and the two men made a treaty. – Genesis 21:27 (NIV).

There are many individuals who won with people all through the bible. Abraham was one of them. When he entered a covenant with Abimelek, his business took a new turn. He didn’t have to engage in deception or manipulation to succeed as he had previously done because God was going to work things out for him. Some start the journey of winning with people through or by cutting corners which has serious consequences later. God has placed gifts, talents and the right people within your reach to help you win! If you are the type who thinks you know it all, try to refrain from it today because it may cause major rifts and setbacks with people who are equipped to bring blessings into your life.

Don’t live in isolation – walk in connection with the Holy Spirit and the right people. And as much as possible, be at peace with all men. Have a fruitful week ahead!

Confession: Holy Spirit, lead me to the right relationships and the right connections so that I don’t walk in isolation and frustration in Jesus’ name.

  • Bounce Back!

Then David danced before the Lord with all his might, and David was wearing a linen ephod. So, David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.”      – 2 Samuel 6:14-15

The best way to bounce back from any past disappointments or hurt is through praise. When you let it rise in your heart, you open a door for God to heal you. After one of the servants carrying the ark of the covenant was struck dead for trying to save it from falling, David was very hurt and very scared of God that he temporarily abandoned the ark for a while in the house of Obed-Edom. But when he heard that the ark of God was prospering the house of Obed-Edom, he did not think twice about returning to get it. The strategy David used to bounce back from that situation was through praise!

What seems impossible to bounce back from? Just like David, set your praise in motion and watch God turn that situation around for your good.

    Have a fruitful weekend ahead!

Confession:  Today, I praise my way out of disappointment, hurt and setbacks into the divine victory and I shall come back with a testimony in Jesus name!

  • God All by Himself

And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error, and he died there by the ark of God.” 2 Samuel 6:6-7 NKJV

Sometimes, in our desperation to achieve the goals set before us, we try to help God. We forget that He is mighty enough to defend Himself. Though it may be from a place of sincerity, you should know that your attempt to help God puts a limit on what He can do for you, through you and with you. Uzzah thought he was doing a good thing by trying to catch the ark of God – which was God himself. It cost him his life but there was a vital lesson to learn from the story – you cannot help God!

Is there a promise God gave you that is starting to look like He has not acted on it yet? Are you trying to take matters into your hands concerning it? I would love to ask that you take a step back. If you look up the story of Abraham, you will see that some attempts to help God fulfill His promise over our lives too early only will bring about regret, disaster and disappointment. He holds the times and seasons of your life in His hands. So let Him be God all by Himself!

    Have a victorious day!

Confession:  I trust You Lord. I allow You work on my behalf and I desist from trying to help you fulfil Your promises in my life from today in Jesus name.

  • …Yet I Will Rejoice!

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord ! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!” –  Habakkuk 3:17-18

Are you currently in a dark season that feels like it’s only raining trouble and misfortune? Does it feel like you want to curl up within and wallow in a bed? Get up! Seasons of despair are not designed to destroy you! Fire does not destroy gold, it reveals it.  Look around, it is an opportunity for you as a believer to glorify God.

The passage above just states how the prophet was going through a tumultuous phase. But he didn’t ask “why me?”. Instead, in spite of the turmoil he resolved to praise God. A secret to praising God when you least feel like it is that divine strength comes upon you to rise above despair. You just pass through it with ease! Get up and rejoice, your victory is just around the corner!

    Have a fruitful day!

Confession:  I will rejoice in the Lord and be joyful in the God of my salvation!
