“Leadership is the act of influencing/serving others out of Christ’s interest in their lives, so they accomplish God’s purpose for and through them, “According to Bill Lawrence, president of Leader Formation International.
Christian leaders serve following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, who “made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in the appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:7,8)
The Christ described in Philippians 2 was empowered by the Holy Spirit, and today Christian leaders must be filled and led by the Holy Spirit to fulfill their mandates and mission.
In this course, we take leaders through a series to expose them to the qualities and character of a Spirit-Filled and Spirit-Led leader by exploring the following topics:
- the Holy Spirit: the leader’s partner
- the Anointing: the leader, the empowerment, and the commission
- the Function: the leader and the people
