Understanding or mastering our emotions can be both troubling, frustrating, and untrustworthy. Scientists have tried severally to investigate or explain the origins of emotions; but emotions are as complex and complicated, mysterious, and mystifying as the quest to find their origins.
While emotions are difficult to understand or master, we serve a purposeful God, who created us with these emotions, and nothing in His economy is wasted, so we can be assured that our emotions serve a specific purpose.
While it would be great to get rid of anger, frustration, sadness, and other sinful emotions; while we keep hope, joy, love, and other emotions that seem deeply spiritual. Since that’s not possible, it is important to understand how to manage our emotions. If we do not learn to do this, we become victims of our emotions, and our circumstances or people around us “get a chance” to “push our buttons” and make us act in any kind of way.
In this course, participants will learn how to:
- rejoice in every circumstance and be thankful for all things at any place and anytime,
- find peace and serenity in fearful and difficult times,
- gain strength, courage, and wisdom to take Spirit-inspired steps in the face of uncertainty and live victoriously, even when living is hard, and
- deal with negative emotions.
