‘Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” – I Samuel 17:36
Fear is one of the reasons many people run away from leadership. Fear of giants, fear of failure, fear of opinions, fear of losing support from friends and family and so on. When a person lets fear hold them back from facing the giants in their life, they become people who are led rather than the ones who lead.
You will always have to contend with different situational giants at every stage of your life. But as real as they are, the courage inside of you is stronger and greater. But the choice is yours – will you face them with courage like David? Or shrink in fear like Saul? Don’t stifle your progress because you keep trying to overprotect yourself from issues. Sometimes, your purpose and calling from God may just be on the other side of the fear you are too afraid to face. This season, be bold and courageous as God commands you to be!
Do have a fruitful day!
Confession: I am courageous and fearless, making bold choices that honour God daily.
