  • The Nextgen Internship program is an invitation to future ministry leaders to spend a minimum of 12 months interning with the church to grow their character, learn from the experience of church leaders and prepare them for a life of Christian service.

  • The Internship Program is designed to train young and passionate leaders to go into full-time ministry. The internship program will also provide the exposure, experience, competencies and character necessary to build a foundation for their calling.

  • The Internship program is designed to ensure that you grow as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ while also gaining experience in core ministry & ministry Operations under the guidance of the Church leadership.

  • The internship program is full-time and designed to be both instructional and practical. It provides a potential candidate for one year of training and evaluation in areas of leading, preaching the Word, pastoral care, youth engagement, church polity, Church Operations & Administration.

Internship Objectives

  • Leadership Development: Opportunities for interns to take on responsibilities and projects that will aid The Elevation Church in better fulfilling our mission.

  • Succession Planning: program would provide the church with a talent pool for future leaders.

  • Job Shadowing and Secondment: would work with Pastors and Managers at TEC and affiliate churches to develop their skills, enrich their ministerial & Leadership experience

  • Learning and Development: interns to achieve readiness in the areas of personal growth, spiritual growth, theological application, ministry and non-ministry experience

Learning Curriculum

Interns will undertake courses aimed at developing them as well-rounded individuals on

  • Theology, Christian Ethics and Biblical Preaching

  • Christian Stewardship and Ministry Development

  • Spiritual Growth and Gifting

  • Emotional Intelligence

  • Self and Organizational Leadership Financial Literacy and Personal Effectiveness

  • Financial Literacy and Personal Effectiveness

Application requirements

To apply for this internship program, you need to

  • have completed your first degree

  • be serving in a leadership capacity

  • be willing to take on responsibility and learn

  • demonstrate commitment as a growing follower of Christ

  • Between the ages of 18 - 30

The Internship program is designed to ensure that you grow as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ while also gaining experience in core ministry & ministry Operations under the guidance of the Church leadership. The internship program is full-time and designed to be both instructional and practical.

As a part of the Internship Program, interns will be mentored, trained, and challenged personally and professionally to grow and lead. This is a journey with friends who will become family. Interns would have the opportunity to dream and imagine ministry & operations projects that they will then execute in the church!

12 Months

You will be coached by a dedicated ministry leader, who will be assigned as your mentor. Your mentor is specifically devoted to serving as your trusted advisor, counselor, and spiritual role model.

18-30 years

Yes, you are eligible for the program.

You will be assigned to our expressions within Lagos Nigeria. Housing will not be provided. If you have a housing option near your assigned location (such as a relative or friend) then you are free to secure your housing.

Yes, this is a paid internship program.

Health Insurance will not be provided for the program.

If you are successful in the program you will be eligible as a full-time ministry staff with the Elevation Church. Interns can also have the opportunity to interview for other roles after the duration of the internship.

The internship program office is located at our Broadcast center Pistis Conference Centre, Elevation Drive, Off Resurrection Drive, Jakande, Lekki- Epe Expressway, Lagos. However, based on the job rotation schedules for the program, you will be assigned to our expressions in Lagos Nigeria.
