Mercy Chinwo

Music Minister

Mercy Nnenda Chinwo Blessed, born September 5, 1990, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is a highly celebrated Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and actress. She first stepped into the national spotlight after winning season two of the talent show Nigerian Idol in 2012. After a brief foray into acting, which included a role in the 2013 comedy film House of Gold, she fully pivoted to gospel music and signed with the prominent label EeZee Conceptz in 2017. In her personal life, she is married to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, and together they co-founded the record label Grace and Truth Nation (GNT).

Throughout her highly successful career, she has released a string of critically acclaimed albums and global gospel anthems. Her studio album discography features her debut project, The Cross: My Gaze (2018), followed by Satisfied (2020), Overwhelming Victory (2024), and In His Will (2025), alongside her popular 2023 EP, Elevated. She is globally recognized for her powerful worship tracks, most notably her breakout 2018 mega-hit “Excess Love”. Her extensive catalog also includes massively successful songs such as “Chinedum”, “Obinasom”, “Na You Dey Reign”, “Confidence”, and “Onyeoma”.
