Tobi is the Founder and Managing Partner of V8 Capital Partners, which is one of the leading African VC firms. Over his career, he has overseen equity and debt transactions in excess of $2bn. Before setting up V8 Capital Partners, he was the head of Intel Capital Africa, leading the global chipmakers investments in Africa and for over two decades, he has been part of and led many global teams in Private Equity and Venture Capital.
Tobi was instrumental in the Private Equity acquisition of Union Bank which was at the time the biggest Private Equity transaction in West Africa working as a Director at Standard Chartered Bank Private Equity. He was also a member of the Principal Investment team at HSBC and part of the founding team for Telematics products at Motorola.
Tobi has guided companies through tremendous growth and turned around a number of technology companies as a board director. He currrently sits on the boards of AppZone Limited, Yemaachi Biotech, Marketforce and VerifyMe Ltd. He holds a Master of Engineering Degree (Information Systems Engineering) from Imperial College, London and a MBA from the London Business School.
